Gliwice is one of the largest cities in Silesia, where about 200,000 inhabitants live. A large cultural, scientific and technical centre and the seat of universities. A city on the outskirts of which a large industrial zone is developed. It means a lot of people who are always in a hurry. An avalanche of traffic in the centre, traffic jams, drivers driving around looking for a parking. Frustration of residents, drivers, city authorities. The City Council has decided to introduce a city parking system.
Parking displays were not not to interfere with urban architecture. They were erected in places of key importance for urban traffic, usually with high sunlight. DYSTEN’s engineers chose selected, highly luminous LEDs, which provide good visibility in strong sunlight, and parking information boards were designed in accordance with the city’s architecture. Dysten LED parking information boards have contributed to the reduction of traffic by limiting the number of drivers looking for parking spaces. Drivers waste less time finding a parking space and less exhaust fumes are blown into the air.
