DYSTEN supplied single-sided TFT LCD displays for a customer from the Czech Republic. As a part of a renewal project, the devices were installed at a tram depot and repair facilities in Melbourne, for the local transportation company Yarra Trams, which operates the largest tram network in the world.
They are part of the internal information system for tram drivers and technical personnel. The displays support effective traffic management and efficient vehicle identification.
Single-sided 49″/32″ TFT LCD displays
The displays were installed in key locations of the facility to serve both drivers and maintenance staff. The devices allow quick identification of the tram’s run-out schedules and the location of the trams parked within the depot’s large area.
Technical support staff use displays to identify trams in the depot, which facilitates the fleet management process and the planning of maintenance and repair work. A detailed track layout with a division into service zones is displayed for easy orientation and efficient task completion.
The displays are equipped with a light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the panels, ensuring readability in different lighting conditions. The IP54 rating makes the devices suitable for use in dusty environments.
