Double-sided dynamic passenger information system displays have been installed at the bus stands. These boards allow travellers to check when their bus will arrive quickly and at which stop it will stop.
An external information kiosk in the transfer centre is a source of additional information for travellers. Tickets can be purchased without standing in queues – via a ticket machine.
The Zabrze Rokitnica transport hub operates 11 bus lines.
The new transport hubs in Zabrze, equipped with dynamic passenger information system devices from DYSTEN, are now highly functional and convenient for travellers. These devices improve public transport accessibility and ease transfers, boosting the mobility of both residents and visitors to the city.
Investment co-financed by the EU
The European Union co-financed the implementation of the “Transfer Centre in Zabrze” project under the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014-2020, Priority Axis IV “Energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and low-carbon economy,” measure 4.5 “Low-emission urban transport and efficient lighting,” and sub-measure 4.5.1 “Low-emission urban transport and efficient lighting—ITI.”
This includes initiatives to improve energy efficiency, develop low-carbon urban transport and build infrastructure for sustainable development.
Development of transport infrastructure
Transport hubs in Zabrze mean new travel opportunities and convenience. This contributes to improving the quality of public transport and reducing air pollutant emissions.
By introducing transfer centres, Zabrze prioritises advancing public transport and aims to create a modern, sustainable, and effective transport network.
